2. General
We take the protection of your data seriously. Fonts are loaded directly from our own server, not from external providers. The connection to our website is encrypted via SSL/TLS.
3. Hosting and server log files
Our website is hosted by Hostinger International Ltd. When you visit the website, technically necessary data is automatically stored in server log files: IP address, date and time, the page requested, browser and operating system, and the previously visited page. We need this data to operate the website securely and reliably. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.
4. Cookies
We do not set any cookies during a normal visit to our website. Technically necessary cookies are only set when members of our team log in to edit the website. If you activate a YouTube or Spotify player on our podcast page, these providers may set cookies (see section 5). If you choose to always load content from a provider in future, we store this choice in a cookie in your browser.
5. Embedded content from YouTube and Spotify
On our podcast page we embed videos from YouTube and audio content from Spotify. This content is only loaded when you actively click on the player. Before that, no data is transmitted to the providers.
When you click, your browser connects to the provider’s servers. In particular, your IP address, information about your browser and device, and the page you are visiting are transmitted. The providers may set cookies. If you are logged in with the provider, it can link the visit to your account.
YouTube: The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA. Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Spotify: The provider is Spotify AB, Regeringsgatan 19, 111 53 Stockholm, Sweden. Privacy policy: https://www.spotify.com/de/legal/privacy-policy/
The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG (German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act), which you give by clicking on the player. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by deleting the cookies in your browser.
6. Contact by email
If you write to us by email, we process your details in order to answer your enquiry. This also applies if you contact us to get involved. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR. We delete the data as soon as it is no longer needed, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
Forms on the “Get involved” page: If you sign up there as a helper or add yourself to the list for a future supporting membership, we store your name, email address, the language of the page and the time of your consent, and for helpers also the optional details on city and message. We use this data only to contact you; for the list, once the association has been registered. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing contact@sevenforaid.com. The data is stored in our WordPress database at Hostinger and is not passed on to third parties. We delete it when you withdraw your consent, and at the latest one year after the association has been registered if you do not become a member.
7. Donations
Until our association is registered, donations for our projects are processed via the Stiftung Kinderjahre, Hamburg. For a bank transfer, the foundation as recipient receives your bank details and the payment reference. If you would like a donation receipt and send us your address for this purpose, we pass it on to the foundation exclusively for this purpose. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR.
For donations via PayPal we link to the foundation’s donation page on PayPal. PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., Luxembourg, then processes your data under its own responsibility. PayPal’s privacy policy applies.
8. Links to Instagram and other websites
Our website contains links to our Instagram profile and to other websites. These are simple links. Data is only transmitted to the respective provider once you click on them. For Instagram, this is Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.
9. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing of your data, the right to data portability and the right to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Simply send us an email.
You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Der Hamburgische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit).
